  • I focus exclusively on maternal mental health and have advanced training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs). As both a licensed therapist (LCSW, PMH-C) and a mom, I blend clinical expertise with real-life understanding - offering therapy that feels safe, validating, and effective.

  • It’s normal to feel overwhelmed, but if sadness, worry, or irritability are affecting your ability to function or enjoy life, it’s time to reach out. You don’t need a diagnosis to start therapy - if you’re asking the question, that’s reason enough to get support.

  • Healing looks different for everyone. Some moms feel relief after a few months, while others choose ongoing support throughout their first year postpartum. Together, we’ll track your progress and adjust as needed.

  • As of February 2026, Empowered Counseling accepts Aetna insurance.

If you do not have Aetna, Empowered Counseling is an out-of-network provider, which means you pay per session and can submit for partial reimbursement through your insurance.

To make this easier, I partner with Thrizer- a secure payment platform that files and tracks your out-of-network claims for you. Instead of waiting for reimbursement, you only pay your portion up front and Thrizer handles the rest directly with your insurance company.

All clients also receive a monthly superbill for their records.
